Kho-Kho the Indigenous game of India is globally recognised as tournaments are going on in countries like Kenya ,England etc to popularise this game and also start of Ultimate Kho-Kho League an initiative and smart step by President KKFI Sh.Sudhanshu Mittal,Sec.General IOA Sh. Rajiv Mehta ,Gen Sec. KKFI Sh.M.S Tyagi,Gen Sec IKKF Sh.Rohit Haldania and Former Treasurer KKFI S.B.S Tirthi who worked hard to lift Kho-Kho in India and outside India. Appa Rao Kumara Railways Kho-Kho Player from Andhra was caught by our Columnist to be part of World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series .He is very nice gentle man we wish him more success and better life ahead.

Q1. What inspires you to start Kho-Kho?

Ans. At my school .Mostly Kho-Kho is played in every school of A.P. that makes me interested in this indigenous game of India.

Q2. Kho-Kho How you define this game?

Ans. The game of energy requires multi skill ,stamina,endurance overall game of intelligence.


Q3. You belong to which state ? 

Ans. I belong to Vizianagaram District of Andhra Pradesh.Kho-Kho is very much popular there.

Q4. What is your strong area in Kho-Kho?

Ans. I am an all rounder . I like to fly dive to catch the players.

Q5. What are your achievements in Kho-Kho?

Ans.


        1. 3rd Asian Kho-Kho Champioship Gold Medal

        2. 47th Senior National Kho-Kho Championship 2013-14 (Gold Medal)

        3. 48th  Senior National Kho-Kho Championship 2014-15 (Gold Medal)

        4. 50th Senior National Kho-Kho Championship 2016-17(Gold Medal)

        5. 53rd Senior National Kho-Kho Championship 2019-20 (Gold Medal).

Q6. Which one is better Kho-Kho in Mat or mud?

Ans. Both has the advantage .Mud is easy to adapt as usually players play in mud and provides better grip and control ,During diving it provides the friction to body so that players easily and quickly get in position after dive where as in Mat that is the need of an hour as for lifting this game Mat is essential just like Kabaddi Show .

Q7. What is the scope of Kho-Kho in Andhra Pradesh?

Ans. In Andhra Kho-Kho has better scope as compared to others state as this game is adopted in Police ,Army,Railways etc.

 Q7 How to do Kho-Kho Skill practice ?

Ans.


Self defense and attacker practice with players and without players on a regular basis to improve skills.Watch matches and find the best skills and practice it.

 Q8.What difference u see in railway and AP team? 

Ans. Ability,flexibility,attacking and Defence skills are different in both the teams.

Ans. Railways Vs Maharashtra The final Match .The strategies to be followed is to find the weakness of the opponent team by watching their matches and use the experience to dominate the 1st inning and move victory to our end.

Ans. First time in the history of Kho-Kho this type of work has been done to spread Kho-Kho worldwide through Sunday Kho-Kho Series .What I beleive Kho-Kho is lacking is fulfilled by this Series.Now players,coaches, personalities are getting a good chance to express their views in front of World that will be beneficial for upcoming generations.Salute to you and your team.
