Q1.What are your plans to popularise khokho in Uganda?

Ans.Our plan is to develop this darling sport from the grassroot. We are planing to use sports structure development in developing this sport. We shall begin with educating and sharing kabaddi skills among individuals from different country districts sports officers and we shall work with them to organise Khokho sports seminars for all schools and villages within these districts. This will create awareness about this sport and teams will pick up the sport. This will popularise the sport  among all regions of Uganda. We shall later work with National council of sports to see that Khokho sports can be registered and reorganised by the country sports authority.

Q2. How you trained players.

Ans. We have not yet started practical training since in Uganda we are still under a lockdown and  sports is still put on hold but as we are waiting for special operation programmes from the ministry of education, we are forming khokho clubs  that we shall teach and coach khokho sport.
Q3.How you motivate players?

Ans.We try to talk to them and make them love khokho sport. I believe when we start practice training, they will love the sport.

Q4. How was your experience in International Coaching camp at New Delhi?

Ans.It was a great moment, meeting sport men from all regions of the world. I enjoyed learning a lot and playing khokho sport, our coaches were good and I learnt alot about khokho sport and am ready to share all  with khokho players in my country.
Q5.Who is behind development of KhoKho in Uganda?

Ans. Khokho is a new sport in my country but with a group of four men and two ladies we are going to grow this beautiful sport. Me, Mr.mpoza, Mr.Mustafa, Mr.Regarn, Madam Sharon and Madam Ramlah, together we are ready to build a strong foundation for this sport in Uganda.

Q6. KhoKho involves lots of discipline .Are You agree with it and How.

Ans.Yes I agree,  it needs physical fitness, strength, speed and stamina, and a certain amount of ability. Dodging, feinting and bursts of controlled speed make this game quite thrilling. To catch by pursuit - to chase, rather than just run - is the capstone of Kho-Kho. The game develops qualities such as obedience, discipline, sportsmanship, and loyalty between team members.

Q7.Any message to KhoKho lovers across the globe.
Ans.To all khokho lovers, let's  participate tiresomely  in all dimensions of this sport. If you are a player - play to your best, if you are a coach - coach to your best, and lastly if you are  a supporter - support to your best. Let's play and love khokho sport.

Kho-Kho: A Step Towards "Make in India Games"

Kho-Kho: A Step Towards "Make in India Games" On this auspicious day of National Sports Day .I think it is the right time to raise Indian Games like KhoKho . Just as India has embraced the vision of Make in India to strengthen self-reliance in technology and trade, it is time to extend this philosophy to our traditional sports. With global challenges such as tariffs on Indian products during Trump’s era reminding us of the importance of self-sufficiency, India must now focus on nurturing its own games—our own heritage of strength, agility, and strategy. Kho-Kho, one of the oldest and most dynamic Indian games, deserves to be promoted on the same scale as cricket, football, or any international sport. By modernizing infrastructure, Promoting professional leagues as already KKFI is working hard as they conducted 2 seasons of Ultimate KhoKho League, and using technology-driven broadcasting, Kho-Kho can not only capture the imagination of our youth but also build Indi...
