Kho-Kho:Resistance to COVID-19 pandemic

Kho-Kho is an Indian traditional game. It’s origin is from yug of Mahabharta in which chariots(rath)were used as a war strategy also known as rathera. It is written in Mahabharta(Hindu Mythology) that once Abhimanyu son of Arjun listened the technique of entering the chakarvyuh when he was in his mother's womb and his mother got to sleep and he was not able to listen to the technique to come out of chakarvyuh that's why during war Abhimanyu entered the chakarvyuh very well but got killed while coming out of it. It is totally a strategy-based contest later on named as the game of Kho-Kho.

It is an amateur sport played by a team of 12 players (3 extras). The main purpose of a team is to score more points to win.Eight chasers sit in eight boxes in alternate direction and one chaser will start the turn, batch of three players of the opponent team will enter the field called the runner and as soon three get out next batch of three get an entry in the field this process will go on for next nine minutes in a similar manner, opponent team than chase to score maximum points in order to win. There are two turns of nine minutes each. Team scoring maximum points is winner.

Kho-Kho players do regular practise & training to maintain stamina and sharpening their skills level .It requires lot of mental & physical strength as practice is done bare feet for better grip and sandy texture of field helps body to more healthy as explained in Kho-Kho: bare feet. This game requires lot of breathing exercise to run and chase the opponent with certain checks, fast sprints, dives, dodging etc. which results in elevated action and keep lungs healthy & strong.
Kho-Kho players diet is usually light & full of nutrition & is not unhealthy diet. Most players strictly follow Indian Diet which has lot of good spices used in food which boosts immunity. In the current situation now COVID 19 has effecting the world & the best way to fight Covid 19 is by boosting our immunity. People with poor immunity are more exposed to this virus. A Kho-Kho player can beat this opponent(Corona) easily and has strong resistance to COVID-19 because of his stronger immunity & healthier lifestyle than others.
