                     (Vice President Australia KhoKho Federation)

Q1.How was your worldcup experience?

Ans.
The inaugural Kho Kho World Cup was an amazing experience! The stadium, the opening ceremony, the food, accommodation and transport - all was world class!
The support Team Australia received from our hosts was generous and thoughtful, and made it much easier to focus on our preparation for matches.

Q2.What you learn from WorldCup to improve KhoKho in Australia?

Ans. We have learnt so much from our participation in the 2025 World Cup. We have seen the standard of gameplay from the best teams in the World - the strategy, athleticism and skill from India, Nepal, South Africa - just to name a few - was inspiring!
We have been inspired by the World Cup to create state and national Kho Kho competitions. We have until 2027 to build the sport across Australia and we will bring more experience to the next World Cup!

Q3.What are your plans to take KhoKho all over the Australia?

Ans. Our focus is to develop Kho Kho across local competitions in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra - and then to other jurisdictions across Australia. The more communities we involve in Kho Kho, the more competitive we will be at the next World Cup!
We are working to establish Kho Kho as the next competitive sport across Australia, and we hope to see schools adopt Kho Kho into the sporting curriculum.

Q4.What are your challenges you face to make Australian Team to participate in worldcup?

Ans. Kho Kho is still in its infancy here in Australia. Our participation in the 2025 World Cup will help us to build up and expand the profile of the sport, starting with local communities.
Once we have established Kho Kho competitions, we are confident that Australians will support the sport and that we will have sustainable financial partners/sponsors in place to help grow Team Australia as a "top 5" team!

Q5. What support you expect from KKFI or parent organizations?

Ans. Kho Kho Australia is looking forward to strengthening our partnership with KKFI and the IKKF. These organisations have collaborated and supported us 'newbies' and we recognise there is a lot more work to do in the coming years.
With ongoing guidance and leadership, we will continue to collaborate on international events and development opportunities to establish Kho Kho as a competitive sport in Australia.

Q6. Kho Kho face tough competition with alredy established sports like netball, cricket, football in Australia..what is your long term vision?

Ans. You're right - the competitive sports landscape in Australia is very congested.
However, Kho Kho has a secret weapon - it is extremely accessible to anyone who wants to run! Equipment costs are low (just need a pair of shoes) and there is a lot of complimentary skills from the likes of AFL, touch football and soccer that directly transfers to Kho Kho - speed, agility and teamwork!
Kho Kho has so much potential here in Australia - we are going to develop local competitions, school and university partnership!

Q7. How much local government supports kho-kho, which is relevant new in Australia?

Ans. We are completely a grassroots volunteer organisation at this point. We have been very fortunate to receive financial sponsorship for the World Cup - thank you to FinSource, Rubiscape, Surface Design, Liquid Instruments and Pure Nutrition!
One area of our engagement this year is to seek support from local and national sources, including government. It is an exciting 2025 for Kho Kho Australia!

Q8.Any words for Sunday KhoKho Series?

Ans. What a fantastic initiative this is!! Thank you for thinking of us here in Australia - we're so proud to be involved in this amazing sport and are excited for all the opportunities to come!
We'll be there at the next World Cup!!
