Shijitha Radhakrishnan Kerala Women KhoKho Team Captain in Sunday KhoKho Series Season 2

After World Wide success and global demand of Sunday Kho-Kho Series .This Series has  launched season 2 with Kerala Kho-Kho Player who worked hard to reach at this level of KhoKho .Kerala team won bronze medal in recently held 37th National Games at Goa .Every day Kho-Kho is growing and reaching each and every corner of world.This energetic game is gaining popularity at very rapid speed.Thanks to all our KhoKho lovers ,enthusiast who is continuously supporting  to make Kho-Kho at the highest level.

Q1.When you started khokho?
Ans. When I was in 3rd standard, I started to play kho kho.

Q2.What inspires you to start KhoKho?
Ans. My sister Sheeba inspired me to play kho kho.

Q3.What is your practice routine?Can you explain in detail.
Ans. In morning I go to the ground on 6 am.. And practising for almost 3 hours.. 
Then in evening I do practice at 4 pm upto 6:30 pm.Sure, I'd be happy to share my practice routine with you! So, I usually start with a warm-up to get my muscles ready. I do some light jogging, stretching, and mobility exercises to loosen up. Then, I move on to specific Kho-Kho drills like running between the poles, practicing dodges, and improving my agility.
After that, I focus on different aspects of the game, such as attacking and defending strategies. I work on my speed, endurance, and coordination through various drills and exercises. Sometimes, I also do strength training to build my overall fitness.

 Q4.How your parents support you for Kho-Kho?
Ans. My parents have been really supportive of my Kho-Kho journey! They've always encouraged me to pursue my passion for the sport. They attend my matches, cheer me on, and even help me with my training. I'm really grateful for their support.

Q5.In recent national dream point is added .What are your opinion about new point system in Kho-Kho.
Ans. It's actually pretty exciting! I think it adds a new level of strategy and excitement to the game.

Q6.You lost to Odhisa in a thrilling match in National Games.What is the reason behind this defeat?
Ans.  Oh, that match against Odisha was definitely a thrilling one! The reason behind our defeat was mainly due to a combination of factors. Odisha had a strong and skilled team, and they played exceptionally well. We gave it our all, but sometimes the outcome of a match can be influenced by various factors like strategy, teamwork, and even luck. It was a tough loss, but we'll learn from it and come back stronger in the future.

 Q7.How your coach motivated the players .What's  going on in your mind during the match?
Ans. Our coach is amazing at motivating us! They always remind us of our strengths, encourage us to give our best, and emphasize the importance of teamwork. During the match, a lot of things go through my mind. I focus on executing the strategies we've practiced, staying alert, and supporting my teammates. I also try to stay positive and keep my determination high, even if things don't go as planned. It's a mix of excitement, adrenaline, and the desire to win that keeps me going.

Q8.What you learn from your last tournament?
Ans. From our last tournament, I learned a lot of valuable lessons. One of the main things I learned was the importance of resilience and staying positive, even in the face of challenges. I also realized the significance of analyzing our performance and identifying areas for improvement. It's all about learning from both our successes and our setbacks, and using that knowledge to grow as individuals and as a team. Every tournament is a learning experience that helps us become better players.

Q9.Any suggestions for Kho-Kho emerging players.
Ans. Practice regularly, focus on teamwork, stay agile and quick, develop mental toughness.

Q10.Any words for World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series.
Ans.Oh, the World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series! It's such an exciting event that brings together Kho-Kho enthusiasts from all around the world. I would say it's a fantastic platform to showcase the talent, skills, and passion for the sport. I hope the series continues to inspire and promote Kho-Kho on a global level. Parallel Toe Method in Offensive Skill

Skills Skills play a major in defining khokho in a better way .Khokho player is best identified by it's mastery in skill. Two Major types of Skills in khokho are 1.Offensive Skill 2.Defensive Skill As it is not easier to understand all skills at once .So I will try to explain you one by one in a single post in an easiest manner. Starting with offensive skill. 1)Sitting inside a chaser block: It is an offensive skill that is the most basic part of chaser to understand how to sit inside the chaser block of size 30*35cm for Men /Women and Junior Boys & Girls and 30*30 cm for subjunior boys & Girls.             (Kho-Kho Icon Mr.Narendar Shah) The man who deserves Arjuna award for his meritious performance and dominance in the game of Kho-Kho.He is a man with strong faith and confidence in the game of Kho-Kho that never misses a player when a defender reaches pole.He is now 55 and still challenging player across world to get them out near pole and also give one minute as a defender against best team of world.He did 10000 Skipping on daily basis and never misses ground .Now he is doing 5000 skipping and fitness is his priority. Sunday Kho-Kho Series through Voice of International Player is trying to put reality and hidden stories of KhoKho players among people across the world by reaching every nook and corner across India and World.
