Sportsman is a player in a sports But that the term also means someone who plays sport in way that shows respect and fairness towards the opposing team or player. Even when the going gets tough,you continue to have the best attitude. It is clear and needs no further explanation .Their work speaks for itself.This task of introducing our guest of honour and speaker is a great privilege .He is living inspiration to the young ones. Today our Sunday Kho-Kho Series guest is none other than Sh. M.S Tyagi (Face of Nation). As he was caught by our feautured columnist Ms.Ramneet Kour.

Q1. Congratulations sir on the success of Ultimate Kho-Kho League. To you my first question is related to this. Can you share the mantra behind the success of this league worldwide.

Ans.

I must say Success of this league is not only my success. It is the success of whole team who makes this league happens there were many minds who worked behind this league, and we all join together and make this happens first time in Indian history .As we all know other sports who had already name and fame. So come out and give this game a fame was really a challenging thing .actually this league was to be organized in 2019 but was delayed due to pandemic. then in 2022 finally the dream comes true. This league was live on Sony Sports network and every Indian feel proud that Indian origin game make its name in all over the world .The Season1 gives us tremendous love which was unbelievable. Now I am looking forward to make other season more successful.

Q2. After the success of this league, Nation wants to know. How you become part of this origin game of India kho-kho?

Ans.

I could not have done this without such a supportive coaches,friends.My team really stepped in to make this happen. I am always grateful that Sh.K.D. Gautam show me the path and introduced me the origin game of India. I must say that our first batch of NIS Kho-Kho & Kabaddi helped me out to train the players. I was also the Chief Coach of Indian Team in South Asian Games held in Dhaka. I must say that I really worked hard to make this happen. 

Q3. What major challenges you face during the role of General secretary?

Ans.

Every challenge you face today makes you stronger tomorrow. So challenges always make you stand on your toes. The first challenge that was to bring  that kind of policy that will help sportspersons financially strong because there is so much talent in our country but it does not reach National or International level .So I can proudly say that KKFI have provide scholarships to 50 players for one year. More opportunities to Kho Kho players in Govt, civil sector as Kho-Kho is now in police,Bsf,Airport Authority and very soon in ONGC,IOC etc.

KKFI have povided mats to every state of India for Kho-Kho.I must say when infrastructure is of good standard,morale of player also wings its way.Kho-Kho become part of Khelo India due to the efforts of our president Sh.Sudhanshu Mittal and all time support from their side .As you must know only few selected games are part of Khelo India(Biggest tournament of India).

Q4. Would you like to share your experience about Mahakumbh recently held in Uttar Pradesh?

Ans. Its memorable moment for all Kho-Kho lovers .The Honorable Prime Minister of India Sh.Narendra Modi and C.M of U.P Sh. Yogi Adiya Nath took time to appreciate the girls team of Kho-Kho. Prime Minister of India keenly observed the match and every step taken in the match .It gives wings to your dream when the Prime Minister of your Nation supports and appreciates you.

Q5. All the Nation is looking forward to your upcoming projects.Can you throw light on your future projects?

Ans. It is glad to know that all the lovers of the Kho-Kho game are waiting for the upcoming  projects. In the month of March 2023, we are organizing Asian Kho-Kho Championship which is going to be held in Assam. So this is the first time that 9-12 countries are coming together for this Kho-Kho Championship.

After this we are looking forward for World Cup which is going to be held in England ,we are keeping our fingers crossed that everything goes right.

Q6. What do you think are the key factors in building a successful team?

Ans.  A team without trust will never achieve anything. At the same time it is important to recognize that having high levels of trust does not happen overnight. In my experience one of the easiest ways of creating trust is to tell each other know that you can be counted on by delivering consistently on what you have agreed to do. Successful teams on the other hand will generally be optimistic. Every team player should know clear roles and responsibilities. At the end I must say Our enthusiasm and willingness to come out of our comfort zone inspire us to follow our footstep.

Q7. At the end would you like to share your views about Sunday Kho-Kho Series?

Ans. Sunday Kho-Kho series is a kind of platform where we can share our success stories, challenges we faced and encourage the upcoming generations to look forward. I must appreciate Mr.Pankaj Malhotra who is really putting his best by encouraging the youth and layout the positive message through world famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series. I wish him good luck for his upcoming Series.
