Noel Williams from Sierra Leone in Sunday Kho-Kho Series

Congratulations Maharashtra for winning both the boys and girls title in 31st Sub Junior National Championship 2021 at UNA,H.P. Its all due to combine effort of KKFI and Himachal Pradesh Kho-Kho Association to organize such a big event in well organized manner. All credit goes to Sh. Sudhanshu Mittal (President KKFI),Sh. Rajiv Mehta (IOA Gen. Sec.) ,Sh. M.S. Tyagi (Gen. Sec KKFI) who is continuously pushing the game ahead in all manners to make Kho-Kho one of the top game of the world in coming years. This Sunday Kho-Kho series Sierra Leone Noel Williams was caught up by our columnist in an exclusive interview .Thanks to him for giving his valuable time for increasing awareness of Kho-Kho around the world through World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho series.

Q1. How do you come to know about Kho-Kho?

Ans. Through Rohit in England.


Q2.Whats the progress of Kho-Kho in your country?

Ans. By moving forward .We started with the primary schools. We want affiliation with the Freetown City Council so that all FCC schools can legally play Kho Kho. But we are privately doing the training to the best of our ability.


Q3. How you compare Kho-Kho with other games?

Ans. In Sierra Leone. It's very good for kids. The children enjoyed it so much. Children who did not want to go to school on Fridays are now interested because of Kho-Kho.


Q4. Kho-Kho  complete mind and body game. What are views?

Ans. Helps a lot with your physical fitness, builds energy , endurance and definitely strong mind.


Q5. Do you attended the International Coaching in India? If yes what you gain through the camp?

Ans. No, I sent four  people. One coach male, One female player, Two male player.As per the  camp report of chief coach B S Tirthi most of the campers were beginners but very dedicated towards learning Kho Kho and they proved it at the end of the coaching camp by playing it as a good Kho Kho players.


Q6. What are your plans to popularize Kho-Kho game in Sierra Leone in Coming Years?

Ans. 


A lot but first we start from teaching at from various street. We also teach schools ,school children. By next year we will make sure we spread to South and East. We are presently at North  and West.

Q7. What you think to become a good Kho-Kho player what is required and Why?

Ans. Making one a good player, you need to have a mind set(focus).You must be passionate about training and learning new skills.


Q8. How you define Coach and how is he helpful for the team?

Ans. A coach is one involved in the direction, instruction and training of a sports team. He should be skillful and be able to impart with a passionate personally to transform players positively.


Q9. As Kho-Kho is spreading across the globe .What are your views?

Ans.


Yes Kho Kho is spreading, we are ready to push it but we need International Competitions. You guys need to have a World Cup or some continental competition. Something that we see your direct involvement.

Q10. Any words for Voice of International Player?

Ans. Outstanding Concept. Keep going and moving Kho-Kho ahead. Thank you team to give me a chance to share my views across the world.
