Railways Mahesh in Sunday Kho-Kho Series

As team's from various states are moving to KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, Odhisa for 40th Junior National Kho-Kho Championship 2021-22. It's a bold move by KKFI and Odhisa government to manage things. We hope and pray to almighty that it will be a successful Championship in this crucial time. It will really motivate KKFI and other sports bodies to organize the next big championships in the coming months. Thanks to Mahesh, International Kho-Kho player of railways to be part of this World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series as recently this series is appreciated by Ghana and we believe that love for Kho-Kho will increase more in coming time.

Q1. What inspires you to start Kho-Kho?

Ans. When I was in school. I was inspired by watching Kho-Kho matches.

 Q2. How do you define Kho-Kho?

Ans. According to my, Kho-Kho is the best game in the world to stay fit and healthy and helps to increase the physical and mental strength of the body.

Q3. What are your achievements?

Ans. My best achievement in Kho-Kho is to represent the Indian Kho-Kho team in SAG games in 2016 and win gold for the Indian Kho Kho team.6 Golds and 1 Silver in the Senior Nationals Championships.

Q4. If in some cases you are not selected for the National team. What is your reaction?

Ans. I feel a little disappointed but later on, I will try to improve my game so that next time I am in the team.

Q5. Any match still you remember. Please give reasons.

Ans. The matches I played for India are still in my memory because it's a proud moment.

Q6.If you have given out by the referee and in reality, you are not out. What is your reaction?

Ans. There is no option to leave the ground. I have to go with the referee's decision.

Q7.If your team has to play with the hard team of the tournament. What are your strategies?

Ans. First, we observe the team in the field and try to find out strength and weaknesses of opponent players then we will work on gameplay with suitable plans and apply in the match.

 Q8.What is your favorite skill? Give suggestions for practicing it.

Ans. Defense is my fav skill. Shadow batting practice is the best way to improve footwork and stepping which is very important in Kho-Kho.

 Q9.What is the role of the coach in shaping the team?

Ans. The role of the Coach is a major in deciding gold for the team as he has to maintain discipline in players, coordinate the players, how to attain maximum performance from the player, etc.

Q10.Any words for Voice of International Player?

Ans. Voice of International player is the best platform for Kho-Kho players and people associated with Kho-Kho. Its a tremendous job done by VOIP through World Famous Sunday Kho-Kho Series to introduce Kho-Kho personalities worldwide and Finally, it's the best media for Kho-Kho.
