Binu Tamang of Nepal in Sunday Kho-Kho Series



Nepal is the country after India who improve Kho-Kho and perform well to win  silver in 2019 SAG games.Nepal has produced so many good Kho-Kho players.Binu Tamang is one of them.She played well for Nepal to won Silver for Nepal.
As world is going through Corona and India is largely effected by this virus.People are going through very tough situations.Whole world Kho-Kho family will pray for the well being of all and expecting sooner everything will be normalised.
"As life is not about how hard of a hit you can give.....its how many you can take and still keep moving forward"  a very famous quote by Famous Sylvester Stallone.
This time is the real test of Kho-Kho instinct which is present inside every human being of high faith and positive thinking that will help to overcome any type of illness as mental strength can help us .Thanks to Binu for sharing her views and giving precious time to Voice of International Player through Sunday Kho-Kho Series.

Q1. What inspires you to start Kho-Kho?

Ans. One day my senior sir told me to give a sports fitness test and  I did the test and they found that I had good speed and running ability.School teacher Mr. Loknath dahal  sir inspires me to play Kho-Kho. It is really an attractive game.

Q2. What are your achievements ?

Ans.
1. Silver medal in 13th SAG Kho-Kho games held in 2019.
2. Gold in 7th National  Kho-Kho Championship  held in 2016.
3. Bronze in National Sports Championship  held in 2017. 
4. Gold medal in 8th National Game Championship held in 2018.

Q3. What Nepal Federation is doing for converting better athletes towards Kho-Kho as Kho-Kho is best athletic game of the world.

Ans. In Nepal athletes are talented and well built with natural athletic physique but Nepal Federation did not take any major steps to motivate the players, small steps has been taken . In my opinion Nepal Kho-Kho federation must organize various programmes with full zeal to motivate them to keep playing and take a step forward to encourage the players.

Q4. Who is your coach and How he trained you.

Ans. Mr.Laxmi Narayan Baidhya is my Coach , Before going to start training he prepared a training schedule of players based on their level and he trained very well.

Q5. How Pandemic effect the Kho-Kho Championships in Nepal.

Ans.Before the pandemic National and International games were conducted  and then due to covid-19 Pandemic no tournament has been conducted even major Asian Championship has also been cancelled.Its become difficult for players to play in proper manner.They are working on fitness at their home.

Q6. What is your strength in Kho-Kho ?How you work on your strength.

Ans.My strength in Kho-Kho is flight dive .I trained myself lot to excel in this skill , like footwork ,covering and angle of attack to master it.

Q7. Whom you credit to surge Kho-Kho in Nepal as Nepal Girls team also won Medals in International tournaments in last few years.

Ans.I  credit the surge of  Kho-Kho in Nepal is to prof Dr Ram Krishna Maharjan as a founder chairman and Mr Keshav Raj Gautam for introducing and organising national game in Nepal. Me.Shree PSD Shah and Mr. Sanu Raja Shaky also contribute to Kho-Kho in Nepal.

Q8. How players are selected for National Championship in Nepal.

Ans.Before the selection for national level tournaments we do ward level championship then district level championship and then province level championship . then before the selection for national level player we do the  closecamp. then after the closecamp player are send for the national level  championship.

Q9. What are the standards of Officials there and How they conduct matches in major tournaments.

Ans. In the context of Nepal officials are low qualified than players . In tournaments Indian officials and Refrees are called for  training . I think that Nepal Kho-Kho Federation should start the programme to develop the abilities and trained them both nationally and Internationally for smooth conduction of matches and better development of Kho-Kho standards.


Q10. What is the future of Kho-Kho in Nepal?

Ans. Future of khokho in Nepal's very Good because men &women Nepal team got bronze and silver medal 🥇🏅 in international level.
Nepal sports council and Nepal khokho federation also make a schedule for yearly plan.To organise regular competition age wise under sixteen, under 20,  open catagory .
To Inhance the technical official manpower.This will definitely raise Kho-Kho standards and competitions in Nepal.

Q10. Any Words for Voice of International Player. 

Ans.I am very thankful to Mr Pankaj Malhotra for giving me an opportunity to speak in favor of Nepal Kho-Kho . Its my honour to speak about the current situation of nepal with you.

            (Kho-Kho Icon Mr.Narendar Shah) The man who deserves Arjuna award for his meritious performance and dominance in the game of Kho-Kho.He is a man with strong faith and confidence in the game of Kho-Kho that never misses a player when a defender reaches pole.He is now 55 and still challenging player across world to get them out near pole and also give one minute as a defender against best team of world.He did 10000 Skipping on daily basis and never misses ground .Now he is doing 5000 skipping and fitness is his priority. Sunday Kho-Kho Series through Voice of International Player is trying to put reality and hidden stories of KhoKho players among people across the world by reaching every nook and corner across India and World.
