As holi the festival of colors is celebrating across world.We are trying to spread colors of indigenous game of India Kho-Kho around the world through Sunday Kho-Kho Series as Kho-Kho already has its presence in more than 20 countries in which Nepal is one of the country where Kho-Kho is quite popular and Nepal is the country whose team got silvers in 2019 SAG.Kapil Bhatta was caught up by V.O.I.P featured columnist Neha Duggal .Thank you to Kapil for giving his valuable time to aware world viewers about Kho-Kho in Nepal through World only and famous blog of Kho-Kho through Sunday Kho-Kho Series.
Q1. What inspires you to start Kho-Kho?
Ans. Kho kho is a speed game ,
We need many motor abilities,
Speed
Endurance
Strength
Flexibility
And
co-ordination
Kho-Kho is equipped with above qualities , kho kho player can play other games like cricket, football,kabaddi, athletic .etc easily but other players can not be play Kho-Kho easily. These are the things that attract players more and other things is that Kho-Kho does not need many material only we need clay surface ,wooden surface or mat ,2 wooden post ( powder),1 whistle and stop watch .
This game require low cost .It includes flying dive , pole dive, judgement kho or to execute judgement pole,sudden attack etc .These things attract me towards Kho-Kho.
Q2. What are your achievements?
Ans.
1.12th South Asian game Guwahati 2016
(Bronze)
2.3rd Asian championship Indore(Bronze)
India Vs Nepal International Kho-Kho test match series 2018 and
3.Diploma in Kho-Kho at SAI NSSC Bangalore 2019/20 (National )
4.7th senior National game( Gold medal)
5.Senior National sports championship (Gold medal)
6.8th Senior National game (gold medal )
Q3. How Nepal team is selected for international event.
Ans. During Senior National game best players are selected and then camp of 35/40 players is conducted for one month . Top 18 players are selected from the camp (6 defenders 6 attackers and 6 all rounders ) and finally 15 players are selected for International event.
Q4. How KKFI support Nepal Kho-Kho so that game will flourish.
Ans.
KKFI plays important role in developing game in Nepal as in 12 south Asian Games 2016 they send one coach to train players or also provide training to Nepal coaches in Siliguri.
For 3rd Asian championship at Indore.They send one coach to Nepal to train players .This helps our players to perform well in Test series and in 13th south Asian Games. They provide Kits , coaches and all necessary help to develop Kho-Kho here.They also provide officials during National Championships .These things making Kho-Kho to move in good direction.
Q5.Whom you credit to raise Kho-Kho in Nepal?
Ans.

It goes to Prof.Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan as a founder Chairman and Mr. Keshav Raj Gautam for introducing and organising National Game Mr.shree PSD. Sah and Mr. Sanu Raja Shakya.
Q6.What are the future plans of Nepal Kho-Kho federation to raise Kho-Kho?
Ans.To form the District Kho-Kho Associations at least 5-7 .In all provinces also form the Province Kho-Kho Associations in coming days .
To organise regular competition age wise under sixteen, under 20, open catagory .
To Inhance the technical official manpower.This will definitely raise Kho-Kho standards and competitions in Nepal.
Q7.Who is your Coach and How he trained you?
Ans.
Mr.Laxmi Narayan Baidhya, Mr. MK Late .Sathya kumar and CV Ramesh are my Coaches. Before going to start training he prepared a training schedule of players based on their level. He trained players very well and provide support and guidance.
Q8.What are your views for upcoming Ultimate Kho-Kho League?
Ans.
Ultimate league have some changes in rule of Kho- Kho to make it more attractive.Rules of ultimate League is in final stage soon it will be released in trial version of game wazir's role is most important and players get 2 points in flight dive, pole dive.Also 2 points for defender if he plays for 3 minutes and I think ultimate Kho-Kho will change the Game into a major games group shortly. Momentum break is not a problem because cricket, football, Kabaddi, etc also have the same situation and Kho-Kho ultimate league it will change the whole prospective of Kho-Kho world wide and raise popularity of game in large scale.
Players, officials, and all associated with the game will get better financial gains with the success of this league.
Q9. Any words for Voice of International Player?
Ans. First of all, I am very happy and lucky to say few words about Kho-Kho in Nepal through Voice Of International Player. Then I thanks to everyone who are connected with Voice of International Player Team. Keep it up for the great progress in giving importance to Kho-Kho and moving Kho-Kho to the international level.
