Keisham Kapilkumar Singh of National Sports University Manipur son of Keisham Kiranchandra Singh and K Leibakleima Devi. He reside in Wabagai Thingel Leikai, Kakching, Manipur.Thanks to Kapil for giving precious time to add his views in the World's only and famous blog of Kho-Kho.He was caught up with Neha Duggal our columnist.

Q1. When you started Kho-Kho?

Ans. I started Kho-Kho When I was in 6 Standard.

Q2. What steps are taken to improve Kho-Kho in Manipur?

Ans. 
1.Organising tournaments on regular basis.
2.Now to attract players KKFI has provided mats for national and international platforms.
3.The association organize state level referee exam to update rules and officials
4.Coaches are engaged at the grass-roots level.

Q3. Who is your Coach?

Ans.             M.Manglem Singh(Coach)
       (International Kho-Kho Referee)

Q4.What are your achievements?

Ans.
1.International Test Match 2018 representing India and won Gold.
2.52nd Sr. National Championship 2018-19
3.51st Sr. National Championship 2017-18
4.XX East Zone Sr. Kho-Kho Championship 2017, Assam (Bronze Medal)
5.XXI East Zone Sr. Kho-Kho Championship 2017, West Bengal(Bronze Medal)
6.XXII East Zone Sr. Kho-Kho Championship 2019, Odisha (Bronze Medal)

Q5. Central Government has opened National Sports University in Manipur. How it will be useful for sports education and career?

Ans. For now, we are residing on a temporary campus so no facilities for Kho-Kho but soon it will get a chance for players to get big opportunities to learn and excel in Kho-Kho and make it a career.

Q6. How players are selected for Nationals in Manipur?

Ans. Firstly players are selected through district-level tournaments through selection trials and then state-level competitions are done. The best players are sorted out and finally, selection trials are done to make a team for nationals.

Q7. Teams of North East state in recent years show improvement in performance at National Level. Whom you credit improvements?

Ans. Firstly coaches (their devotion and hard work towards teaching the players and making them learn everything they knew). Secondly Association (Development and Funding). Lastly Players ( for their hard work and the intention to play the sports whole-heartedly).

Q8. What is the Player Practise System in Manipur?

Ans.Player Practise for National : 
The selected best 24 players
(both men & women) call up at
 Manipur Amature Kho-Kho Association
 ground for 1-month Coaching Camp.
 The State Association provides
 equipment, refreshment and all 
necessary products. There are 16
 districts in Manipur most player are 
coming from a plain area.

Q9. Recently Sports Minister Of India Mr. Kiren Rijuju visited the NSU campus. What were his words for Sports Promotion there?

Ans. He visits our university he promised us that he will provide good equipment and related things for the betterment of Sports.

Q10. Any words for Voice of International Player?

Ans. First of all, I am happy and lucky to say few words about Kho-Kho in Manipur through Voice Of International Player. Then I thank each and everyone who is associated with the Voice of International Player Team. Keep it up for the great progress in giving importance to Kho-Kho and Moving Kho-Kho to India as well as across the world.
