.The big personality of Kho-Kho like him is the need of todays Kho-Kho to use his experience and grow Kho-Kho in more better way.He is having ample of experience in leading Indian teams round the world .He is the man who is the part Indian delegates to open way for Kho-Kho in Asian Games.S.B.S Tirthi is so humble man who give his precious time to our team.Shamily Sharma our featured columnist caught up with this personality on 2021.We wish him good health and expect more better ideas from his side to move Kho-Kho more forward at rapid speed.

Q1.You are the man who started Kho-Kho in J&K and you are the only  Kho-Kho Kabaddi Coach of J&K at that time .Is it right.

Ans. Absolutely right in 1981.I formed the Jammu Kashmir Kho-Kho Association as Secretary there and trained Players. Under my guidance JK Team qualifies pool in National Championship two times.
I provided International platform to more than 5 players  and 4  International officials from J&K.

Q2.In 2018 you are appointed as a Treasurer of KKFI.Can you brief about development of Kho-Kho in financial term as well.

Ans. Yes KKFI signed an agreement with Dabur led Burman of Rs.10 crore .We also provided mats to different states and other financial help so that Kho-Kho will grow .Now the KKFI is financially strong and doing what is needed to uplift indigenous game Kho-Kho.Thanks to Rajeev Mehta Ji,Sh.Sudhanshu Ji and Mr.Tyagi Ji for given me the big responsibility.

Q3.As you are Chief Coach of Kho-Kho in recent International Kho-Kho coaching camp.How you trained players and coaches from 16 countries .

Ans.Yes I got this opportunity to trained players and Coaches from 16 different countries as they are beginners I taught 1st basic skills and then finally with advance skills along with all rules ,regulations ,planning and training programs.As this camp was to train players and coaches accordingly they were trained and I am happy that they are doing their best in their countries for raising good Kho-Kho players and teams and also they are organizing regular Kho-Kho matches.

Q4. You are the part of delegates who represent Kho-Kho in Asian Games.How was the experience.
Ans. In 2018 Our team includes Vice President KKFI Rani Tiwari,Mr.Vinod Tiwari,Mr.Sameer (Star Sports) who represented Kho-Kho in Asian Games.We had given presentation about Kho-Kho in Jakarta ,Indonesia.Thanks to Rajeev Mehta Ji Sec IOA ,Mr.Sudhanshu ji and Mr.Tyagi Ji who open the path of Kho-Kho to get place in Next Asian Games.

Q5.When and How you associated with KKFI.You give valuable contribution to KKFI.

Ans 
1.I become executive member of KKFI in 1983.
2.I also become Selection Committee Chairman of KKFI.
3.Refree Board Chairman for two Consecutive terms of 8 years.
4.Different Committee member to develop Kho-Kho.
4.Treasurer KKFI (2018).

Q6. As a Chairman Refree Board.What was your duties and how you Played it.

Ans.During my chairmanship we did national appointments of Refrees ,Conduting regular clinics,workshops to improve Officiating discipline.Now KKFI have sufficient officials to make Kho-Kho a success in every corner of World.

Q7.Are you NIS first Kho-Kho Kabbadi  Batch 1976 passout.

Ans. Yes It is right I along with Mr.Tyagi,Mr.M.V Natraj and Coach Tadlapurkar were the 1st NIS Kho-Kho Kabbadi Passouts from Bangalore.

Q8.You are Strongest Man Title Holder from 1972-1976 in J&K but you belong to Punjab .Whats the secret behind it.
Ans. Yes I shifted from Punjab to J&K in 1970 as my father was in Army.and I am passionate about Boxing, Weightlifting and bodybuilding .I love these sports at that time and won the title of Strongest Man for 5 consecutive years from 1972-1976.In 1973 First time introduced and organised Boxing, Wrestling and Body building competitions in Jammu Gulab Bhawan.

Q9.What are your major achievements as a official and Coach?

Ans.
1.International Official in 1st,2nd,3rd Asian Kho-Kho Championship .
2.Indian Kabaddi Team Coach in SAG Games in Pakistan.India defeated Pakistan in finals and won Gold.
3.Chairman International Technical Official 1st SAG Games held at Guhawati,Assam.
4.Chief Coach in 1st International KhoKho Coaching Camp 2020.

Q10.You are man who lead first National Team of JK Kabaddi as well and  grown the seeds of Kabaddi in disputed state of India.

Ans. In 1978 Ist time Kabbadi National team from JK was lead by me in Bhilai ,M.P as a coach and as a Captain of team as well that was 25 th Silver jubilee National tournament of Kabaddi.

Q11.Parallely you take Kabaddi as well as Kho-Kho in J&K.Finally after growing these two games in all over J&K you focus more towards KhoKho.Explain.

Ans.As I already told that I am the only coach of Kho-Kho Kabbadi in J&K who started these two games in state in 1981 Ist Kho-Kho National was played under my guidance and also for Kabbadi in 1978 .To improve Game and increase players and Coaches from 1981-1992. I along with my colleagues conducted 6 week certificate courses in Patiala,Gwalior,Aurangabad in different SAI centres.In 2011 as Kabaddi got good response than Kho-Kho.Then I leave Kabaddi and focus more on Kho-Kho so that this game can also compete with Kabaddi in coming times.From 1978 till date I trained National and International Players from J&K.

Q12.During Covid -19 What KKFI did to make players active.
Ans.We started with webinars to gain knowledge of Kho-Kho among players and officials .Also guided players how to remain fit by doing various fitness approaches like yoga,exercise in a single room so that players remain in touch with fitness in all over country.
In J&K also we started club system right now 4 clubs are active in Jammu and also in other districts more clubs are under formation process.As in J&K shortage of infrastructure and unemployment is the main agenda among sports man .So,I directed senior players to come forward and trained younger players on regular basis.Interclub tournaments are already started in J&K during Covid-19 under all necessary guidelines.Lots of competitions are coming soon.

            (Kho-Kho Icon Mr.Narendar Shah) The man who deserves Arjuna award for his meritious performance and dominance in the game of Kho-Kho.He is a man with strong faith and confidence in the game of Kho-Kho that never misses a player when a defender reaches pole.He is now 55 and still challenging player across world to get them out near pole and also give one minute as a defender against best team of world.He did 10000 Skipping on daily basis and never misses ground .Now he is doing 5000 skipping and fitness is his priority. Sunday Kho-Kho Series through Voice of International Player is trying to put reality and hidden stories of KhoKho players among people across the world by reaching every nook and corner across India and World.
