Recently Nepal hosted South Asian Games 2019 and Kho-Kho is one among the other games.Nepal Kho-Kho Team clinched the bronze medal in SAG. Kho-Kho started in 1998 in Nepal and reached at this level that this country is now hosting major tournaments.Players and Coaches of Nepal are so hardworking and dedicated that they bring Kho-Kho at this level.

Our featured Columnist Komal Rajput caught up with Nepal Kho-Kho player.Presently he is in Doha for some personal work.

Q1. What inspires you to Start Kho-Kho?

Ans. Kho-Kho is not the easiest game to play.This thing always give me attraction to play Kho-Kho and feel the thrill of Kho-Kho.This is the reason I chooses Kho-Kho.

Q2. Name the man who is behind bringing Kho-Kho in Nepal and raise its position.

Ans.

Mr.Keshab Raj Gautam is the man who put all hardwork in one direction to bring Kho-Kho in Nepal and also raise the standard of it.No doubt where Kho-Kho is now today in Nepal because of his efforts.

Q3. What steps has been needed to improve Kho-Kho in Nepal?

Ans.

1.Financial assistance to Kho-Kho Players.

2.Job Security to Players.

3.Awareness of the game to reach every player and youngsters through popularisation ,internet and print media.

Q4. Who is your coach and How he trained players.

Ans.I have been trained by two Coaches of Nepal

They provide proper training to us with proper fitness and practise routine on regular basis so that players can be trained at world level.

Q5. Recently Nepal Girls Team won silver in SAG 2019?Whom you credit.

Ans.

Before SAG 2019 lots of coaching camp and match practice has been conducted in Nepal and Outside Nepal to give players best coaching .Coaches from India has also been hired to give players the real exposure and expert coaching.This is the main reason for silver medal in SAG 2019.

Q6. How the trend of Kho-Kho now in Nepal?

Ans.Now the trend is changed completely .Players are coming forward to join Kho-Kho because of it's ample benefits whether it's health,career etc.Players from subjunior level are now getting training so that they get nurturing and become good player in future.

                                        

Q7. Kho-Kho is also called Game of Best Team Management.Any comments.

Ans.

Yes definitely this game is a perfect example of Team Management .As teams which are perfectly manage can lead to victory.Each and every player is used according to it's strength and place that leads to team to work in a best manner in a challenging tournaments.

Q8. In recent years Kho-Kho is surging whom you credit?

Ans.I think lots of efforts by KKFI led Mr. Sudhanshu Mittal,Mr.Rajeev Mehta ,Mr.MS Tyagi,S.B.S Tirthi, Mr.Keshab Raj and his team.They did lots of work to raise Kho-Kho from last 3 to 4 years.

Q9. Kho-Kho gets it recognition in Asian Games.What do you say?

Ans.This is the real boost for Kho-Kho and appreciated work from KKFI to make Kho-Kho it's place in Asian Games.Special Thanks to Sudhanshu Ji and Rajeev Mehta Ji for it's efforts to raise Kho-Kho.

Q10. What are your achievements?

Ans.


1.Participated in 4th ASIAN Kho-Kho Championship. 
2.Participated in 12th SAG.

Q11. Kho-Kho is getting popular in Europe, Africa and Asian Continent .What are your views?

Ans. Definately Kho-Kho is rise in popularity in most of the countries of Europe, Africa and Asia. According to me KKFI, VOIP, IKKF has done tremendous job in few months to make Kho-Kho popular in various Countries.

Q12. Any words for Voice of International Player.

Ans.The work VOIP is performing is outstanding and definitely Kho-Kho is reaching every nook and corner of the world.Thanks to VOIP global team to give me a chance to spread Nepal Kho-Kho to world.
