Kho-Kho recently received Arjuna award after a gap of 22 years Sarika Kale of Maharashtra received it. Its a gap of 35 years that a player from Maharashtra is getting this award. It's all due to combine effort of Sh.Sudanshu Mittal President  KKFI, Gen.sec KKFI M.S.Tyagi and Government of India to promote Indigenous game of India like Kho-Kho. Recently during the time of Lockdown, activities of Kho-Kho on social media is high. Recently JK Kho-Kho has conducted online exam through cloud platform to upgrade players and officials and the response of these types of practices is overwhelming across the world and Movie on Kho-Kho is about to release in coming days. 

Ms.Neha Duggal Columnist caught up with Ms.Vandana Pandu Rang Shinde from Belgaum Karnataka in a sole conversation as she cast off a glow on Kho-Kho. She is working in the Police department and her mother is in a critical stage but her response is always positive. She gives her crucial time to our team.We pray to almighty for her mother good health and fast recovery.

Q1. What inspires you to join Kho-Kho?

Ans. In 4th Standard, I inspired by Shama Patil Kho-Kho player who plays very well. I belong to  Kadoli Village of District Belgaum that is well known for Khokho.

Q2. What you feel is Kho-Kho helps you in today's lifestyle to remain fit with mind and body?

Ans. Of course, Kho-Kho is game of ultimate fitness that combines fitness of both mind and body.

Q3.What are achievements and tournament record?

Ans.

Q4. What is your strength in Kho-Kho?

Ans. I am an allrounder, Some times I was the decider of Match in finals.

Q5. This year after a gap of 22 years Kho-Kho player got Arjuna award. Any comments from your side.

Ans. Yes, It's a feeling of excitement that Kho-Kho once again got Arjuna award. The player who deserves will get this award. It's all efforts of KKFI to put Kho-Kho on track once again.

Q6. Kho-Kho is more popular in the southern part of India. What is the reason you think?

Ans. As I believe the Craze of Kho-Kho is more here and coaches are more hardworking and dedicated. This is the reason I think so.

Q7. Kho-Kho is emerging in the last 4-5 years. What do you think what is the reason?

Ans. I feel better management is the reason for any organisation to excel. Better management and right steps at right time putting Kho-Kho to excel.

Q8. What do you think Kho-Kho has given you?

Ans. Kho-Kho has given everything that is required to being a successful. Name, fame and career as I am working in the Police Department because of Kho-Kho.

Q9.As you play a large number of matches. Can you tell any match whose memories are still unforgettable from your mind?

Ans. In 1991-92 in Federation cup final between Karnataka and Maharashtra, the match is unforgettable as that match was 4 times draw and finally we declare a joint winner.

Q10.In some situation of the match, some times a runner is slightly touched by the attack, the referee did not observe some times. What will you do at that time whether you leave the ground or continue playing?

Ans. Definitely, I did not find by a referee I did not leave the ground. I continue my play.

Q11.Can you tell who was your coach when you play Kho-Kho?

Ans. In middle school time KK Patil, in Higher Secondary LS Pawar and Sujay Kumar Coach. Sujay Kumar was so dedicated and the man behind raising Kho-Kho in Belgaum and even Karnataka . He develops interest among young ones.
