Parallel Toe Method in Offensive Skill

Skills

Skills play a major in defining khokho in a better way .Khokho player is best identified by it's mastery in skill.

Two Major types of Skills in khokho are
1.Offensive Skill
2.Defensive Skill

As it is not easier to understand all skills at once .So I will try to explain you one by one in a single post in an easiest manner.

Starting with offensive skill.
1)Sitting inside a chaser block:

It is an offensive skill that is the most basic part of chaser to understand how to sit inside the chaser block of size 30*35cm for Men /Women and Junior Boys & Girls and 30*30 cm for subjunior boys & Girls.

Two methods
a.Parallel Toe Method.
b.Bullet Toe Method.

a.Parallel Toe Method:
As it name suggests toes are parallel to each other and toe tip is just behind the front line of chaser block. The gap between two feets is minimal not more than 6 inches and the most balanced posture in which hands will be kept either side of cross lane by putting partial body weight on it.Thumbs must face each other and rest of the fingers in other directions .Arms will be coming from the side of legs in a manner that half of body weight is on hands  and rest is on toes.

Advantage

1.Body weight is best adjusted in this posture.
2.Easier to take a push from toes and hands to take the advantage.
3.Based on the direction of game where defender is moving ,Chaser can tilt body direction left as well as right.

In the next post I will explain you the Bullet Toe method one of the offensive skill under the type of chaser sitting inside the chaser block.

Kho-Kho: A Step Towards "Make in India Games"

Kho-Kho: A Step Towards "Make in India Games" On this auspicious day of National Sports Day .I think it is the right time to raise Indian Games like KhoKho . Just as India has embraced the vision of Make in India to strengthen self-reliance in technology and trade, it is time to extend this philosophy to our traditional sports. With global challenges such as tariffs on Indian products during Trump’s era reminding us of the importance of self-sufficiency, India must now focus on nurturing its own games—our own heritage of strength, agility, and strategy. Kho-Kho, one of the oldest and most dynamic Indian games, deserves to be promoted on the same scale as cricket, football, or any international sport. By modernizing infrastructure, Promoting professional leagues as already KKFI is working hard as they conducted 2 seasons of Ultimate KhoKho League, and using technology-driven broadcasting, Kho-Kho can not only capture the imagination of our youth but also build Indi...
