Kho-Kho the game of explosiveness is when played in the ground creates a magic atmosphere  in the field of Kho-Kho. The game that is time-based and realises the value of time and engages all in the game whether it's player, official, coach, spectator. This is the real beauty of the game that attracts the attention of everyone.

 Mussa Só is a Coach of  Guinea-Bissau who is working to popularise and nurture the talent of Guinea -Bissau athletes towards Kho-Kho.

Moreover, Kho-Kho is prospering across the world with the announcement of Ultimate Kho Kho league, acceptance of Kho-Kho in the next Asian Games and tons of International tournaments and International Coaching Camps by KKFI experts.

Ms.Kanika Soni Columnist caught up with Coach of Guinea-Bissau in a sole conversation as he cast off the flash on Kho-Kho in Guinea-Bissau.
Q1.How was your experience at International coaching camp?

Ans. First of all, I will start by thanking the Federation for giving me this opportunity to be here talking about this sport that I love so much. My camp experience was very positive, I learned a lot of skills, it helped me to improve my knowledge about Kho Kho.


Q2. What is your plan to improve Kho-Kho in your country?

Ans. Guinea-Bissau, I want to work together with the Ministry of National Education to promote this sport throughout the national territory. Through its involvement in school sports. Because once implemented in schools, we will be able to obtain Kho kho associations and sports clubs. With associations and clubs, we will be able to hold inter-school championships and then hold the National championship. And therefore demand the state to recognize a Federation.

Q3.How players of your country are showing interest in Kho-Kho?

Ans. The young people in my country are showing a lot of interest and determination in this sport. Because they are sports lovers and kho kho is a fun game that, although the technique, also requires a lot of resistance.


Q4.What is the practice routine of players?

Ans. We practice training 4 times a week.
Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 are to 10:00 am. On Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Q5.What is the diet plan of players?
                     Bidam Moni Sambú

Ans. We currently only eat staple foods: fruits;
vegetables;
whole grains;
breads and pastas.

Q6.What is your training program for players?

Ans. According to the program, the training will be as follows: 2 hours of physical training and 1 hour of the game.

Q7.What is your message to khokho Lovers?

Ans. As ambassadors for this sport, which is growing very fast and is already being played on all 5 continents. We kho kho athletes from Guinea-Bissau, the message we have for kho kho lovers around the world is the following: "We are increasingly dedicated and committed to together with you to make this sport one of the most practised in the world".


Q8.What is your opinion about the role of Coach in Kho-Kho?

Ans. According to my understanding, the role of a KHO KHO coach is to direct the team and the game.
a) - Convince players to do everything well;
b) - Assess the competitive performance of the players;
c) - Create and develop team spirit;
d) - Form the team and group;
e) - Lead the team during the game and organize the game.
Q9.Any message you want to give to KKFI?

Ans. The message I have for "KHO KHO FEDERATION OF INDIA" is a message of thanks. First of all, I am going to thank "KKFI" and all his staff for their hospitality, because we were treated very well in India; I want to thank KKFI for the trust placed in the "Kho Kho Federation of Guinea-Bissau" and especially me; Finally, I will once again thank "KKFI" for this opportunity that it is giving to young people.
